The study of the relations between the countries of Southeast Asia and Russia by sociological methods

Abstract

At the moment, major geopolitical changes are taking place in the world. In the East, a new sub-region of Indo-Pacifica is being formed instead of the Asia-Pacific region, initiated by the United States, Japan, India and Australia in order to confront China and its significance. Competition between the USA, China, India and Russia is growing in the region, this process is monitored by the authors using the methodology of system analysis, which allows us to give a comprehensive description of the current situation. Using sociological research methods, in particular expert surveys in the form of a 70% longitudinal study, the authors managed to obtain empirical data in 16 countries of the Asia-Pacific region, characterizing their relationships, inter-country hierarchy, the level of security in the region. The authors emphasize the conduct of representative research, the professionalism of the implementation of sociological surveys, the submission and processing of material, the correctness, objectivity and impartiality of the analysis of the data obtained and in-depth work with the text (based on the use of the Sorbonne method), as well as the content analysis of scientific publications and publications in the media.
