This study analyzes the relation between national identity and the appreciation of Peruvian history in a sample of publicschool teachers from the city of Lima. Adapted versions of the NATID Scale (Keillor et al., 1996) and the CSES Scale(Luhtanen, & Crocker, 1992) are used as measure of national identity. National pride and personal interest to know aboutPeruvian history are variables also included in this study. Appreciation of historical figures is more positive thanappreciation of historical events. National identity and appreciation of Peruvian historical figures are positive associated.Amultiple linear regression model is proposed in this study. In this model, appreciation of cultural heritage and national prideinfluences a positive appreciation of historical figures
