Currently, with the energy crisis, combined heat and power systems provide significant advantages. A spiral heat exchanger (SHE) is among the greatest components utilized in these kinds of systems. There are a few notable failure modes (FMs) that can lower the output of these devices. In this case, the risk priority number (RPN) in the form of a suitable approach as Extended RPN (E-RPN) is used to detect the failure modes priorities. This is done to achieve the effects of the FMs on system proficiency and to represent a suitable approach. The Best-Worst Method (BWM) is used to attain the risk factor weights. Ultimately, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the unique suggested strategy, the linear functions pertaining to the primary failure mechanism are extracted for fundamental parameters including the friction factor, Nusslet number, and system productivity.
