Abstract
The 18th Century is a period of great changes in all the aspects of the English daily life. The public space grows together with the century and the whole society starts taking part in the political life of the country. The press played a determining role in this phenomenon and thus, the journalists who devoted their life to it. The evolution of the journalistic career and the early article writers during the Age of Enlightenment is an interesting example which shows how much did the relation between politicians, aristocrats, journalists and audience change
