Tests de résistance au champ vis-à-vis de la pyriculariose du riz au Zaïre

Abstract

Field Tests of Resistance to the Rice Blast in Zaire. In order to detect the varieties and lineages of rice which show field resistance to rice blast in Zaire, a study was conducted between 1976 and 1988 on a large assortment of cultivars of different origins. The results have shown the variability of resistance or sensitivity of different rice varieties and lineages tested from one site to another during the same year, or between one year and another. We are thus faced with a problem of cultivar selection with stable horizontal resistance to rice blast.
