The characteristics of personality profile of patients with HIV-associated psoriasis
Abstract
The goal: to give a characteristic of the personality profile, a comparative evaluation of psychosomatic changes in patients with psoriasis and HIV-associated psoriasis. Materials and methods. The study involved 27 patients aged 18-65 years with psoriasis and HIV-associated psoriasis, and isolated comorbid mental disorders and patients without skin disease, formed the control group. The survey in all patients was conducted with clinical-dermatological method, supplemented by psychometric methods (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), the Hamilton Scale for Depression (HDRS)). Results. Analysis of the psychological status of patients with psoriasis demonstrated a high frequency of mental disorders in these patients.
