Several-1-carbothioamide-3,5-dimethyl-4-[(substituted phenyl) diazenyl] pyrazoles 2a–d, 1-(pyridine-4-ylcarbonyl)-3,5-dimethyl-4-[(substituted phenyl) diazenyl] pyrazoles 3a–d, 1-(5-chloro-6-fluoro-1,3-benzothiazole-2-yl)thiocarbamoyl-3,5-dimethyl-4-[(substituted phenyl) diazenyl] pyrazoles 4a–d and 1-[(1,2,4-triazole-4-yl) carbothioamide]-3,5-dimethyl-4-[(substituted phenyl) diazenyl] pyrazoles 5a–d were synthesized. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were supported by IR, 1H NMR and mass spectral data. These compounds were investigated for their, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, ulcerogenic, lipid peroxidation, antibacterial and antifungal activities. Some of the synthesized compounds showed potent anti-inflammatory activity along with minimal ulcerogenic effect and lipid peroxidation, compared to ibuprofen and flurbiprofen. Some of the tested compounds also showed moderate antimicrobial activity against tested bacterial and fungal strains.
