Key Clinical Message Subcutaneous tumors of the head and neck resembling cutaneous mixed tumors may be misdiagnosed pleomorphic adenomas of salivary gland origin. Physicians should consider salivary mixed tumors in the differential diagnosis for suspected cutaneous tumors.
