İklim değişikliği ve Bartın Çayı Havza yönetimi muhtemel sorunları
Abstract
In recent years, significant changes have been observed in the climatic characteristics of Turkey. These changes showing compatibility with the general trend of global climate change, are felt in Bartin River Basin. In this study, making assessments about the possible developments which are important on the Bartın River Basin Management have been aimed. In order to understand the changes in climate elements of study area, rainfall and temperature orientation analysis, Thornthwaite, De Martonne climate analysis, annual and seasonal precipitation-temperature distribution and frequency analyzes were conducted by using the daily temperature and precipitation observations for1965-2012 year time intervals in Bartın Meteorological Station. In addition, surface analysis and their maps were made by using the applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The results of climatic analysis show that remarkable changes have been Bartin River Basin for the last 15 years. These changes can be summarized as an average temperature rise, the elongation of the summer season, change of the rainfall regime, severe torrential rains that especially occur in summer seasonWhen changes on climatic elements are associated with geomorphologic, lithologic, hydrographic and land cover features of the Bartin River Basin, It will play an important trigerring role for in terms of problems the basin management and can be acceptable that this situation will continue increasingly in Bartın River Basin. Due to these changes in climatic elements of Bartin River Basin, The problems such as water shortage, water quality degradation, increases in intensity and frequency of different types of disasters, ecosystem problems, drought, reduced agricultural productivity and so on have been predicted to be effective in the medium and long term period in future. In the basin, implementation of the Integrated River Basin Management, consideration of climate change scenarios in this context, realization of the detailed geographic studies in river basin scale for sustainable planning have been suggested.
