Abstract

The article is devoted to the 90th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding Ukrainian surgeon, scientist, thinker, extraordinary person, founder of his own surgical school, head of the Department of Surgery FPDO Lviv National Medical University, Professor Orest Volodymyrovych Filts. The biographical data and the merits are presented. Also memorable highlights of his life are reminded by his grateful students.
