Abstract : The following paper explores The Intuitionist within the perspectives of highlighting issues of race, identity and mobility facing blacks. Indeed, the aim of this study is to demonstrate that racial dynamics impacting blacks’ mobility reinforce or sustain their immobility in spite of their integration within America’s social fabric. Thus, the plot in this postmodern work is a route whereby Colson Whitehead depicts America’s society through a type of writing that stirs reflections on blacks’ condition.
