To know Glauco Mattoso
Abstract
The literature of Glauco Mattoso is quite vast; the poet, with 5555 sonnets, is the world record holder in the composition of this genre of poetry. Moreover, Glauco is the author of madrigals, short verse sonnets, cordel literature, mastering prose by writing short stories and novels. To account for some of these aspects in our essay, we do not intend to make the historical panorama of his work, much less summarize his activities as a man of letters. In order to analyze the poetics of Glauco Mattoso from three points of view, namely the architecture of the text, the figures and the themes, our work is carried out on three fronts: (1) the insertion of Glauco Mattoso as a vanguard poet, not only in formal innovations, but was the first to poeticize BDSM in Brazil; (2) his versification techniques; (3) his world views. --- DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.25094/rtp.2017n22a441
