Ten years after the implementation of the Agreement of Northern American Free Exchange (NAFTA), the borderland of the North of Mexico must adapt to new economic conditions. This article aims to give how, since 2003, the extension of the free exchange on a national scale limits the possibilities of exchange in the case of a traditionally open area like the Northern Border and in particular the Baja California State.
