In order to solve the problems of ship yaw and bridge collision in the water transportation industry, and reduce the missed warning rate of an intelligent bridge collision avoidance and yaw warning system was designed according to the analysis of the communication characteristics of ships. First, the collection and tracking of ship navigation video images were completed by setting up radars and cameras, the communication characteristics were analyzed based on the collected data, and then the results of the analysis in real time was transmitted through radio frequency signals. Finally, in order to monitor the hull in real time, a real-time hull detector was constructed through the ship detection algorithm. The design method was used to judge whether the hull is safe according to the preset alarm position of the bridge. If there is an over-elevation and yaw event, an audible and visual alarm will be issued to the ship to complete the bridge anti-collision and yaw warning. The experimental results show that the system′s highest missed alarm rate is only 6%, the time for issuing early warning in various environments is no more than 1 ms. It can accurately warn about 300 m and below, the hull distance of the long-distance warning is close to the actual distance, and the error is less than 1 m. This system has great application value.
