Transfictionalized Elicia: The portrayal of the go-between in the <i>Tragicomedia de Lisandro y Roselia</i>

Abstract

The present essay analyses the resemantisation of the character of the go-between presented by Sancho de Muñón in his Tragicomedia de Lisandro y Roselia. Analysing, in its characterological dimension but also in its functional aspect, the portrait of Elisa-Celestina built in this work allows to understand more precisely one of the components of the Celestinian tradition, of which Muñón participated in the incipient elaboration, but also to clarify the transfictional techniques which ensure the connection between the go-between of the sequel and the Celestina of its model
