A peculiar drawing of a part of the decoration of the Royal Mortuary Cult Complex inthe Hatshepsut temple at Deir el-Bahari, as copied once by Johannes Dümichen, is the subject ofthis paper. Its comparison with existing relief fragments leads to the conclusion that the plate inquestion is the result of an artificial juxtaposition of two disparate fragments of wall decorationfrom the Royal Mortuary Cult Complex.
