This article is the result of a bibliographical review of a thesis and aims to present a dialogue through the STSE (Science, Technology, Society and Environment) approach with the perspective of the implicated study, which includes research and science teaching in the Amazon context. In order to do so, it takes up the origins of the Science, Technology and Society movement, comments on the nature of the implication and its relationship with the STSE approach, linked to three elements: objectives; interactions between science, technology, society and environment; and teaching strategies. In addition, it discusses the principles of the approach such as active participation, dialogicity and problematization, associated with the idea of transforming reality. Finally, it defends the perspective of the implicated study in science research and teaching through the STSE approach to the Amazon, considering the diversity that composes it.
