Numerical and experimental analysis of Impact of Explosive Charge on a Mine Roller
Abstract
The paper presents the whole process of designing a mechanical mine roller starting from the concept in the initial phase to the geometric model of the device. Later stage involved the pre-defined geometry undergoing resistance analysis. The later stage included manufacture of one segment of the mine roller and its tests under field conditions. The vehicle onto which the roller will be mounted is intended as a tool to keep the roads traversable and clear of IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) in particular. The mine roller will be mounted onto a mine-clearing vehicle with increased armoured protection.
