Splenic infarction in babesiosis: A rare presentation

Abstract

Abstract Babesiosis is a protozoan parasitic infection transmitted by the Ixodes tick. Splenic infarction is a rare, but potentially life‐threatening complication of babesiosis; it is therefore vital that this complication is recognized.
