Abstract

Among the kinds of literature in the Tamil language, Moral literature is praised next to Sangam literature. The family is like a leaf of a tree. It is through this that love like green gives the tree like family gets love. Love is the foundation of Kalavu's (Secret love) life. This feeling of love encompasses all of the love, affection, desire, anger, and fear. These traits are fundamental in the secret life of Tamil society. It also leads to a chaste (Karpu - Married) life. Hospitality is one of the main responsibilities of both husband and wife in marriage life. Hospitality and their domestic duties are associated with the community. The housewife should explain the habit of removing the fear of reproach and distributing the earned material to the relatives. It embodies a sense of duty to society and paves the way for maintaining contact with society. Although the values of literature are constant, they are not all contemporaneous. There are some changes and innovations in the customs from time to time. It is possible to know the lifestyle and true nature of the people of that time through the works mentioned by the witnesses. These suggest that people can live a clean life by removing impurities from their minds and paving the way for future rewards. Hence, the conception of Professor Subbu Reddiar can be seen in the text written by him for Valluvar. It is also commendable for realizing the need of human society, the family relationship, customs and social bonds of the individual, which are relevant for all time, emphasize that the home and the nation will be better off as they are governed by the principle of virtue.
