Cheirostylis parvifoliaLindl. (Orchidaceae) has been discovered from the Mahendragiri hills of Gajapati district of Odisha, part of the Eastern Ghats, India growing at an elevation of 900 m constituting a new record of the genus Cheirostylis Blume for Eastern India. The present finding shows an extension of its range of distribution from the Western to the Eastern Ghats of India.
