Cantando la Historia. Música folklórica, participación política y divulgación histórica en la cancionística de Félix Luna

Abstract

Félix Luna was a historian of great popular recognition, though his formation was given externally of the academic area. The present paper tries to analyze Luna‟s collaboration as lyricist of native music, known, but very little approached labor. I will centre my analysis on those musical works that include explicitly a historical content. The analysis will bring us over to an interpretation of the uses of the national past and his mass media traffic.
