Creativity has a structure that affects all areas of human growth and life. Particularly it is an important concept in terms of child development and education. Generally creativity is identified with art but today it has also a scientific value and creative thinking skills begin to have an important role in education system of most countries from elementary to university. As well as in the world in recent years also in our country the importance of creativity education began to be noticed and is targeted to develop creativity and creative thinking skills in various level of education. When viewed from this aspect it is important to define the potential of children’s creative thinking, creative characteristics and development of creativity. How to define individuals-specific cognitive and psychological processes such as creativity, developmental and psychological tests which is appropriate to use on measuring this process and the value of assessment criterias for scientists has became more important and has been focus of attention. There are many methods for measuring creativity. In this article we aimed to investigate psychological tests which are used in measuring creativity of children in Turkey and in the world. It is also valuable for being a guide those who wish to do research in the field of creativity in children.
