SITUASI DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE DI KOTA PALU, SULAWESI TENGAH TAHUN 2001-2008

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still a major public health problem in Indonesia.Since reported in 1968, the distribution of DHF has become wider and the incidence has increased. In Palu municipality, DHF cases have been reported ever year. Local health department has tried to break the cycle by using larvacide, fogging, and source reduction (PSN DBD). However, those approaches are still not effective. The aim of this article is to give a description of DHF situation for the last eight years in Palu Municipality.This data can be used for DHF control program in Palu Municipality.
