ESRP1 is reported to regulate the alternative splicing of some genes involved in epithelial–mesenchymal transition. Here the authors show that LRRFIP2 is a target of ESRP1 and that two spliced variants of LRRFIP2 have opposing functions in gastric cancer metastasis
