Gabriela Wiener and Nueve lunas: Bodily experimentation as a literary chronicle
Abstract
Nueve lunas is a book where Gabriela Wiener tells, in the form of a literary chronicle, her processes and experiences lived during the waiting and until the moment of giving birth. Pregnancy is an issue that we do not usually see in literary texts, at least not in a real way. In this article we want to show, through Gabriela Wiener's lines, how a transformation that is metamorphosis is happening, how the individual expresses and her sexuality, how she shows experimentation with the body processes that change her, affecting not only the physical part but also the emotional and psychological ones. The process of change is displayed both in the body and in the text, attending with her unresolved questions and approaches more than by herself at the precise moment of experimentation.
