Abstract

Abstract: The aim of research is to analyze the concept and nature of criticism of Islamic reason, to reveal its epistemological origins, and to explain its importance in the current contemporary philosophical thought. whose goal is to achieve civilizational transcendence, emerge from closed dogmatism, and catch up with modernity, by using modern criticism tools, which necessitated re-considering traditional rationalism and developing its criticism. That is, openness and interaction with Western approaches to reread the Islamic heritage. The study concluded that is useful to look at applied Islam, as it has great importance in contemporary thought, especially as it undertakes two main tasks: the study of heritage and the study of modernity, and thus they push to crystallize what is new.
