Key Clinical Message Although exudative pleural effusion can be caused by infections, malignancies, and connective tissue diseases, we need to consider uremic pleural effusion and pleuritis in differential diagnosis of exudative lymphocyte predominant pleural effusion in patients with chronic kidney disease not receiving dialysis.
