IMPACT OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL MIGRATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MODERN SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Abstract
Relevance. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of studying the role of educational migration in the development of the higher education system in the Russian Federation, since educational migration is one of the priority areas for the development of Russian universities. The export of educational services contributes to the development of new programs and the organization of areas of training, employment and professional development of the teaching staff, generates income through the provision of educational services on a contract basis. Inviting foreigners to study at Russian universities contributes to the creation of an appropriate material and technical educational and scientific base in the host universities, as well as the creation of hou-sing and social facilities. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the international educational migration impact on the development of the modern system of higher education in the Russian Federation. Methods: comparison, abstraction, statistical analysis, generalization, literature review of materials on the research topic. Results. The article reveals twelve features of the educational migration impact on the deve-lopment of the modern system of higher education in the Russian Federation. The present study characterizes the features of competition in the world market of educational services. The importance of attracting fo-reigners to study at Russian universities due to the reduction in the number of Russian applicants is emphasized. Particular attention is focused on ensuring the quality of Russian educational services offered to fo-reign citizens. Conclusions. International educational migration has a significant impact on the development of the higher education system in the Russian Federation, contributing to the preservation and expansion of the student population, employment of teaching staff, improving the quality of education, and the formation of an interethnic, intercultural, interfaith community at Russian universities.
