Human resources and sustainability are intertwined in contemporary organizational management. Green human resource management (GHRM) is a new approach in the field that focuses on integrating environmental issues into various human resource management functions and practices. The main goal is to promote sustainability, environmental responsibility and environmental awareness throughout the organization’s workforce. GHRM is a manifesto that helps create a green workforce that can understand and appreciate the green culture in an organization. Such a green initiative can maintain its green goals throughout the HRM process of recruiting, hiring and training, compensating, developing and promoting the company’s human capital. In this context, the objective of the article is to analyze the key components of the GHRM and the advantages and disadvantages arising from the implementation of this approach.
