The article deals with the problem of the formation of the emotional health of younger schoolchildren in the aspect of the implementation of the updated federal state educational standards for primary general education. The characteristics of the concept of «emotional health» of children of primary school age are presented, the methodological features of teaching the disciplines of the aesthetic cycle (literary reading, fine arts, music) in elementary school are described, considering the integrative approach. The components of emotional health (recognition of emotions and their interpretation, expression of emotions in accordance with social norms, self-regulation of the emotional state and manifestation of empathy) and methods of their formation in the integrated lessons of the aesthetic cycle are determined.
