El carácter delictivo de los personajes celestinescos a la luz de <i>Las siete Partidas</i>

Abstract

In this study the crimes that the characters of La Celestina commit are identified according to the civil law active during that time, which is contained in Las Siete Partidas. As much as the crimes constitute the definitive actions of the principal characters, they express the ethos of a work composed with a systematic legal conscience by the «bachiller en Leyes» Fernando de Rojas. Likewise, the illegal acts have as a dominant cause the «desesperación» of the ones performing them. This conducts Pleberio to the solitude of the modern individual.
