Originally his “installation” lecture as the first holder of the Richard Hovannisian Chair of Modern Armenian History, Aslanian’s essay argues that Armenian history is best studied not as national history but as part of world or global history with its interactive methodology that relies upon and studies interactions, encounters, and connections in world history.
