Tucídides frente al espejo: realidad e imagen ideal del historiador ático

Abstract

The aim of the present review is to provide a critical analysis of one recent book on the life and work of Thucydides written by Luciano Canfora. The analysis becomes thus a perfect occasion to reflect on approaches and perspectives of contemporary criticism about ancient historiography in general and in relation to Thucydides in particular.
