The new social movements and the symbolic violence

Abstract

We face a constant dissemination of speeches of all types that affect the way we perceive the context around us, several social speeches about violence or peace supported by the media are taking part, meanwhile it is increasingly common to watch the society organization through social movements, which are are using persuasive strategies to promote their goals while looking for a consensus using graphic speeches with symbolic violence. Therefor it is important to present through this article a general view in the construction of this speeches, going in to the social awareness of the people and specially, going with the professionals of graphic comunnication awareness to focus on a proposal with this intention as a result of a previous investigation based on the communicative ethic.
