PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN POE (PREDICT-OBSERVE-EXPLAIN) TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DI SMAN RAWAJITU SELATAN

This study aims to determine the effect of POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning on critical thinking skills in class XI addictive substances at SMA Negeri 1 Rawajitu Selatan. The research design used in this study was a post-test-only control group design. The population used in this study were all students of class XI in the even semester of SMA Negeri 1 Rawajitu Selatan for the academic year 2020/2021. Determination of the sample in this study using the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study used the test method. The instrument of this research is to use critical thinking questions. . Critical thinking questions are a measurement used to find out or obtain data from predetermined sources. This research instrument is a type of subjective test in the form of essay questions. Before being used for research, the questions are first validated and seen for reliability. Test the hypothesis by using the chi-square test using a contingency table. In hypothesis testing, it was found that the POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning model had an effect on students' critical thinking skills with a value of = 17.25 and = 9.49 with = 0.05. The conclusion is that there is an effect of the POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning model on critical thinking skills on addictive substances class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Rawajitu Selatan.
