Monitoring of an aquifer is a fundamental activity for the proper management of available resources and reserves available. For its effectiveness, the record of discharges extracted is necessary (or injected, if any), as well as the water table or potentiometric levels and water quality. Although not a parameter of the aquifer, monitoring of rainfall is crucial to aid in data interpretation. A very important example of monitoring Jandaíra aquifer, is carried out by Department of the Environment and Water Management of Rio Grande do Norte - SEMARH-RN, since May 2003. Today this monitoring is already in its twelfth year, whose data collected, together with rainfall data monitored by Emater City Baraúna, were evaluated. It was found that the variations of the water table of the aquifer Jandaíra in that region is much more linked to rainfall than withdrawals by pumping from wells used mainly in irrigated agriculture. It is as if the aquifer worked in permanent flow regime.
