For exploring the effects of yttrium oxide and chromium oxide particles on the properties of pure aluminum micro-arc oxide films,micro-arc oxide films were prepared on the surface of 1060 industrial pure aluminum by micro-arc oxidation technology in the phosphateelectrolytic liquid system with yttrium oxide and chromium oxide as additives.Scanning electron microscopy (SEM),X-ray diffraction (XRD)instrument, eddy current thickness meter, microhardness meter, step profiler, friction and wear testing machine, and electrochemical method were employed to characterize the surface morphology, phase composition, thickness, hardness, roughness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Results showed that compared with the film prepared with the addition of 2.5 g/L Y2O3 or 2.5 g/L Cr2O3 alone,the composite film prepared by adding 2.5g/L Y2O3 and 2.5g/L Cr2O3 possessed fewer holes on the surface, more compact surface and better wear resistance, with a microhardness of 746 HV,a thickness of 20.1 μm and a roughness of 2 226.2 nm.Meanwhile, the composite film had the maximum self-corrosion potential, the minimum self-corrosion current density and the optimal corrosion resistance.
