Puesta en práctica de una política de desastres: los instrumentos de la gestión de riesgos en México

Abstract

Mexico’s Disasters Policy program is reviewed under the premise that is currently insufficient to effectively prevent the occurrence of disasters. Mexican disasters’ policy relies on a series of instruments that should intervene on different phases of a disaster (from risk stage to post-disaster), but so far it has focused on emergency response instead of strengthening the instruments and practices that could lead to an integral risk management policy.
