During the Bolsonaro government (2019-2022), public social policies were subject to dismantling, public mental health policy experienced moments of strong threats to its continuity as a psychosocial policy. With contrary measures, the government launched actions that culminated in the closure of Psychosocial Care Centers -CAPS, the financing of psychiatric beds and the increase in vacancies in Therapeutic Communities, measures that indicated the government's intention to maintain control over the marginalized social groups and their way of existing in society -poor people, black people, women, homosexuals, transsexuals, indigenous people, among others, suffered strong reprisals -, With cuts in the budget allocated to public social policies, including the anti-asylum policy, the State opened thus, precedence for more drastic actions with the support of part of society that supported such measures. The objective of this article is to analyze public mental health policy and the production of biopolitics regarding women with mental suffering in southeastern Pará during the Bolsonaro government period (2019-2022).
