In vivo assessment was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of MnO2 nanoparticles (NPs) as an antioxidant and anti-diabetic agents in albino rats. MnO2NPs were synthesized by a green methodology using anise extract and then characterized using various diagnostic techniques, including UV–Visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform spectroscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The antioxidant properties of MnO2NPs were assessed by the free radical scavenging technique, and their efficacy as an anti-diabetic agent was examined in Alloxan-induced diabetic rats. The medication was administered orally. The hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity after treatment with MnO2NPs were also investigated.
