ADHERENCE IN THE CANCER TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION PROCESS: A NARRATIVE REVIEW OF AN UNDERESTIMATED PROBLEM

Abstract

Background The problem of adherence to treatments concerns all branches of medicine but especially elderly patients, especially those with cancer. Although non- adherence to treatment is extremely negative for patients who are not treated adequately and is an important social and financial damage, it is mostly neglected even in clinical research with possible serious biases in the results.
