This paper reveals the basis of space formation of Areas under environmental protection and surrounding areas in the Estate of Acre, Brazil, facing its possibilities and ways of use. Looking forward the possibility for a diagnostically comprehension of the “biodiversity and environmental management”, without dismissing the richness of the regional social formation. In this way we present the organization of data which makes possible the identification, characterization and analysis of protected areas and its surroundings as territories of protection, without denying its history as produced spaces and, at present, as areas with diverse use possibilities of economic exploration. Taking into account that these areas of protection were once defined based on practices of traditional populations, but currently exposed to the logic of a new terroritorialisation of capital. Therefore, these areas are disposed to be used as big reserves for natural resources exploitation, like exploitation of timber, latex and seeds, or redirected as non-productive territories, but eligible to be sold in the market of environmental services. In this sense, we notice new articulations of world capital in the control of regional resources, under the logic of monetary ecologization of Amazon resources.
