As part of a study was a group of children born between 1993-2005 with the diagnostic of cystic fibrosis which are registered at the Regional Center of Cystic Fibrosis Craiova. The diagnostic was made on the clinical manifestation and was confirmed through the sweat test, in some cases in association with the genetic testing. On evolution all the children presented a polymorphic clinic and paraclinic manifestation. For the treatment, there were recommended physiotherapy (helps with the respiratory clearance, rises the effort tolerance and improves the respiratory function), antibiotic therapy, antiinflammatory therapy, pancreatic enzymes, plus liposoluble vitamins, nutritional strategies and vaccinations. We fallowed the effect of the chronic treatment they had at home in 2003 through the National Health Program for Cystic Fibrosis with mucolytics (Pulmozyne) and pancreatic enzymes (Kreon). The result was a lower number of children got committed into the hospital in 2008 for acute respiratory problems and also the digestive symptoms improved.
