Quality of life and health promotion through the perspective of the users of the family health strategy
Abstract
This article presents the results of a field research, descriptive, with quanti-qualitative approach, next to a population adscript in the region of an Unit of the Family’s Health, in Santa Maria/Rio Grande do Sul. The research had as its objecitves to know the demographic context, socio-cultural, political-economic and sanitary from the population of the region and to direct the attention to the health of appropriate form to the local necessities. The quantitative analysis classified the data in four indicators. The populational indicator demonstrated a population between 20 and 39 years old, predominantly of the feminine sex. The socio-economic indicator evidenced a community with low level of study and income and revealed to exist monotony in their forms of leisure; as for employment bond, it predominated the option student followed by employee with hiring and employment contract. The health indicator demonstrated that the water supply and the garbage destination of the locality are mostly done by the public net, presenting inadequate areas condition; it evidenced mayor prevalence of chronico-degeneratives illnesses, in the morbidity mentioned by the dwellers. The offer of health service indicator showed that the main form to access it, it is the Unit of the Family’s Health. It was considered these data as determinants of the conditons of the population’s life, being essential to reveal them, with the objective to carry out the promotion of the health of that community.
