In this paper, 4TaC-HfC/LaB6 composite was prepared by spark plasma sintering (SPS), and its oxidation resistance was significantly improved by vacuum heat treatment process. The result shows that the oxidation weight gain rate of SPSII sintered sample after 1400 °C, 2 h of air oxidation was decreased from 9.86% to 2.24% by the vacuum heat treatment. The sample was consolidated and the oxide layer was adhered.
