It is known the contribution of SMEs to the economy as well as its management problems. One solution is the use of performance metrics in order to quantitatively understand their behavior. For this purpose, is really helpful the operations reference model (SCOR) designed by the Supply Chain Council. The research methodology of this paper presents a mixed approach with a non-experimental method, whose design is descriptive transversal. The aim is to define the different parts that make up the SCOR model for metalworking SMEs from Olavarria, Argentina, in order to identify the supply chain and category of each process, as well as define indicators and best practices for each configuration. The sector has been divided into four subgroups and it was found that all of them work with design products, except the manufacturing of aluminum apertures that also makes customized products and stock products.
