Clinical presentation of hypopituitarism may be variable in the neonate. Symptoms are generally non-specific, ranging from absent to severe, and even life-threatening due to adrenocorticotrophic hormone deficiency. We report a neonate who presented with unexplained respiratory distress and edema. Initial screening revealed panhypopituitarism. Respiratory distress improved after the replacement treatment with hydrocortisone and thyroxine.
