EFFECT OF SURFACE CHEMISTRY OF NANODIAMOND FILLER ON THE PROPERTIES OF POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE COMPOSITES
Abstract
The tribology properties of polymer composites of polytetrafluoroethylene filled with detonation nanodiamonds of various types were studied. The composite properties were found to depend on the oxygen-containing groups on nanodiamond surface. The direct evidence of chemical interaction of nanodiamond with polymer matrix during preparation (sintering stage) of composite was obtained.
