The aims of this study are: Identifying the independence and dependence style in the study sample. Identifying the level of achievement of triple jump in the study sample. Identifying the relationship between independence – dependence style and the achievement of triple jump in the study sample. The researcher used the descriptive approach to its suitability and the nature of the research. The research society consists of (57) students of the second stage in the School of Physical Education – Koya University, and (34) of them were chosen randomly as a sample of the research. Pearson correlation coefficient was performed to identify the strength and direction of the relationship between independence- dependence style and the achievement of triple jump in the study sample. After the completion of the tests triple jump achievement and (independence – dependence) style, the data were collected and processed statistically and several conclusions were reached: The number of independent students were (22) students from the sample of the research, while the number of dependent students were (12). A positive relationship was noticed between independence- dependence style and triple jump achievement in the research sample.
